As a sociologist and consultant at The Bridge business innovators, I am always interested in the people within the organization. People come up with good ideas, organizations don’t.
There is no such thing as a ‘Eureka!’ moment. What does exist are so called ‘hunches’. These are ideas based on one’s feeling and suspicion, rather than on clear evidence. I have a feeling…. Real breakthroughs only occur when these so called ‘hunches’ are linked with each other or when they collide. The internet and social media are powerful tools that contribute to the enormous increase of connectivity. This creates new possibilities to exchange ideas. In my work I am always looking for new ‘hunches’ and ways to connect them with other ‘hunches’.
In 2011 my book #Volgjemenog? (#StillFollowingMe?) was published. The book is about social media and online networks from a sociological perspective.- Would like to know more?
