About Nanning

Nanning de Jong is a consultant with The Bridge business innovators. His focus is start-up management. He also develops new growth strategies and stimulates innovativeness. He has developed new concepts and services for flower, sustainable energy and pharmaceutical businesses. "A great idea becomes a great product when it is a success in the market."

He started his career as an international management associate in the "Global Operations Leadership Development" program of Johnson & Johnson. While working for J&J's subsidiary, Centocor, in the Netherlands, he designed and implemented a Quality Risk Management process for a biotech plant. He also optimized the capacity of a QC laboratory and worked on process innovations and cultural change. He led projects to improve the international supply chain and customer service of another J&J subsidiary, Janssen Pharmaceutica, in Belgium,

Nanning graduated as a biotech engineer from Delft University of Technology and Leiden University. He also studied on exchange at ETH Zürich, where he took technology management and international cooperation courses. Nanning gained experience as an intern at the Biotech Innovation Center of Degussa (now Evonik) in Munich and worked during his thesis on the discovery of new drugs for osteoporosis for Organon (now part of Schering Plough).

He loves triathlons and skiing. He has a passion for travelling and learning from different cultures.
